3 Reasons Why Los Angeles InfoPath-Lovers are Awesome

This past Saturday Improving Enterprises sent me to the West Coast to meet with a couple of our clients, but primarily to speak at SharePoint Saturday Los Angeles on the topic of InfoPath 2010. I had a full room (sorry to the folks that had to stand), and a very lively and interactive group of folks who were all very interested in learning more about InfoPath. In fact, I enjoyed our time together so much, I thought I’d share with everyone at least 3 reasons why Los Angeles InfoPath-lovers are so awesome!:

image They fight against the power of the Dark Side. In much of my presentation, I highlight the value of keeping your InfoPath solution codeless, and I suggest that, unless they’re imageabsolutely necessary, administrator-approved InfoPath forms are analogous to the Dark Side of the Force. I heard no complaints, which tells me that they, too, can see the end-user empowerment that can come from the simplicity of no-code InfoPath forms.
image They know good advice when they hear it. In part of my presentation, I used one of Yoda’s most famous quotes: “If compromise you do, then successful with InfoPath you will imagebe…”  Okay, maybe he didn’t really say that, but it sounds like everyone in the room agreed with the idea. Sometimes the idea of compromise is not an easy one to accept.
image They give you a bright and warm response, even tho the southern California weather started out unseasonably cold, wet andB0B2EB0F gloomy. And, being a dog-lover myself, I liked how they oooh’d and awww’d when I showed the pictures of puppies in my now-famous Dog Lover’s InfoPath form. : )

Thanx again Los Angeles for such a great response to my talk on InfoPath! See below for my slide deck.
